Contemporary Urban

A long slim urban plot with a significant level drop, the clients wanted a low maintenance space where they could entertain.  Zones were created using level drops and retaining walls in the form of blonde sleepers, alongside a horizontal slatted fence give a contemporary feel to the garden.  A path defines each zone but also leads to a secluded barbecue area based with a hoggin base.  A heritage brick wall is planted up with bright perennials to bring colour and softness.  In shady areas, multi stemmed trees are underplanted with delicate ferns and Hakoneckloa.
